  • The most reliable platform that will help you to book the ticket and that too in a very simple way is via the IRCTC platform. All you need to do is create your account and password and after that put in your mobile number and email address.  Enter the date of your travel and the route and then you will be getting the train options. You will be able to fill in some basic details like your age and then make a payment via online portals as well as credit and debit cards. You will get an online confirmation and an e-ticket which can be shown on the date of travel.

  • Another method that you can choose if you are not well versed with the online method of booking is via the offline route. Here you will need to visit your nearest railway station and they will give you a form to fill out. After you have filled in the details, you will get options and you can choose from the one which best suits your needs.

  • If you don't have the time to travel and at the same time don't trust the online sources then you can choose to get your tickets done via some third party. There are a lot of travel companies as well as agents who will get the ticket done for you at an additional cost. You will also be able to get tickets for emergencies from the Tatkal services via the help of the agents. They usually have some special quotas and based on that you will need to pay extra charges on the pre-existing charges for the train ticket.
