500 QG is another popular bus route offered by Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation or commonly known as BMTC. The 500QG bus route connects two popular places in Bangalore, KR Puram and Goragunte Palya and 20 other bus stops in between. The entire journey is approx 22 km long which might take 1 hrs to 1:05 hrs to complete.

500 QG Bus Fare from KR Puram

As per the BMTC rate chart, you have to pay Rs. 5/- as bus fare for travelling 2kms. After 2 km, the charges will start to increase. For travelling 2-3 km, you have to pay Rs  10/-. For 3 to 4 km, the fare will be Rs. 15/-. For more than 4 km to 7 km, you have to pay Rs. 20/-. From 8 km. Onwards, the fare will become Rs. 25 /- to up to 20 km. After crossing 20 km, the fare will become Rs. 30/- and remains the same for further journeys beyond 20 km. The maximum fare you will be charged is Rs. 30/-.

  • You need to always follow the timetable associated with 500 QG buses.

  • Lots of 500 QG buses are available at short intervals and that's why buses are not very crowded. 

  • BMTC offers weekly and monthly bus passes also which you can collect from dedicated bus stops only.

  • BMTC offers free rides to gender minority commuters and female passengers as well. To avail of this facility you need to carry a government-authorized identity proof.
