The route from Mumbai to Bangalore is extensive and hence there are quite a few train options as well. The distance between the two stations is about 1153 km and it takes around 20 to 24 hours to cover the distance depending on which train option you are choosing. Usually, most of these trains have quite a few stops as well and hence that can be a problem during the winter season.

These are the most reliable trains which are running between the route of Mumbai to Bengaluru and they are quite regular as well. There are a couple of other trains as well but they are extremely irregular and depend on the season and the crowd demand. These are special trains and hence hard to find. 


How Can I Book A Ticket From Mumbai To Bangalore?


There are a couple of ways in which you will be able to find a ticket from Mumbai to Bangalore via train. 


  • The first and easiest option that you can take up is to go for the online platform which is IRCTC, the official  Indian Railway website. This enters the date and the route of your journey and you will be able to get all the train options on the specified date and route. There will be an option shown for the type of ticket and you will be able to choose from sleeper and the available other classes like second-tier or third-tier AC. To book the ticket you have to make the payment online via card or UPI payment. 


  • You can also book the train ticket offline and for this you will need to go to the station and fill out the form. Based on the available ticket you can make the purchase and you will be given a physical receipt that you have to show the TT on your date and time of travel. 


  • You can also choose to book the train ticket with the help of a third-party agent or travel company. This is usually done if you have any kind of emergency need and want to get the ticket done from the Tatkal option. You can reach out to the company and let them know what your requirements are and based on that they will take out the ticket for you. Usually, for this, you will need to pay extra and the commission is based on a per-ticket basis. 


The route from Mumbai to Bangalore is quite popular and hence the tickets are not very easily available particularly during the end season. You will need to provide your relevant data. The ticket prices are also quite affordable and they can rent somewhere between 500 rupees to rupees 3000 depending on which kind of train and coach you are willing to travel in. However, the prices of tickets at dynamic and hence the same tends to change depending on the season that you are booking in. Travelling via train is also quite safe and sound.
