Introduction
There are so many lakes in Bangalore but Ulsoor Lake is one of the biggest among them with a total area of 123.6 acres. Also, there are a total of 4 islands within the lake. The lake was from Vijaynagar Emperor Kempe Gowdas's time which means it has its own historic value. The lake was later constructed by Lewin Bentham Bowring and then reconstructed by the commissioner of Bangalore.
The islands of this lake and its shimmering emerald-coloured water were the major reasons for attracting visitors. The primary water source of the lake is city drainage water and rain.
