  • Ulsoor Lake

Ulsoor Lake is one the oldest and biggest lakes in Bangalore. This is one of the best boating lakes near me in Bangalore. This lake has its connection to the Kempe Gowdas region and has a historical side to it. This lake was made during the 17th century by Kempegowda II and later expanded by Sir Lewin Bentham Bowring. Currently, the joint venture of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and Madras Engineer Group (Madras Sappers) are maintaining this lake. Amongst all the Bangalore boating lakes, this lake has the minimum charge for boating which is 35/- per person. The lake has 3 km of area for boating activities. There is a special boating club that takes care of all the boating activities and security aspects. Two types of boats are there for boating, pedal boats and rowboats. There are several small islands where you can stop during the boating ride. The usual timings of the lake is from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm but boating is available from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The lake and boating activities remain closed on Wednesday.

  • Madiwala Lake

Madiwala Lake is another biggest lake in Bangalore located at one of the prime spots, the conjunction point of Hosur Road and Bannerghatta Main Road. The lake is more than 300 years old. The lake is a preferable picnic spot and also one of the Bangalore boating lakes. Madiwala Lake Boating Centre is there who controls the boating activities of this lake. Lots of birds and beautiful scenery are there that you can enjoy while boating inside the lake. Paddle boats are there along with safety jackets so that visitors should not get into any trouble and harm themselves. Boating charges are 50/- per person. The lake remains open from 5:00 am to 9:30 pm but boating is allowed from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm only.

  • Nagawara Lake

Located near Lumbini Garden at Outer Ring Road Nagawara Lake is another Bangalore boating lake. The lake has a surrounding park, well-managed side path etc. that is so beautiful, you can easily spend a relaxing day here. The boating activities here are also very famous because various types of boats are available to provide you with the best boating experience. Pedal boating, boating on jet skis, family bumper boating leisure boating etc. are available. Also, speed boating facilities are there which even allow the riders to ride speed boats at a speed of 60 to 80 km/ hr. The authorities also take care of the safety aspects and provide life jackets to everyone. The charges for the boating rides are Rs. 50/- per person.

The next lake in Bangalore with boating facilities is Sankey Lake, located near Vyalikaval, Malleshwaram. This is a man-made lake and inside the lake, there is the Mayura Sankey Boat Club which offers boating rides at the most affordable prices. You just need to pay Rs. 20/- per person to avail of boating. Visitors can experience pedal boats, row boats, motor boats etc. KSTDC is currently managing the Mayura Sankey Boat Club. The boating facilities are available from 6:00 am to 10:00 am and 12 noon to 5:00 pm. The Lake and boating remains closed on Friday.
