And the major reasons behind this are domestic sewage, industrial effluents, dumping solid waste and more. Besides, as many people plan to visit, let's find out about Byrasandra Lake's current condition

What is the Current Condition of Byrasandra Lake?

Talking about Byrasandra Lake's current status, it has turned into a cesspool as they aren't clean or well-maintained. It has been found that the water bodies have been dying slowly in this lake. Even though many protests and voices have been raised for other lakes, few lakes such as Byrasandra remain unheard of or in a state of neglect.

The lake has been deseeded for a long time and has encroached upon from all sides. The entire lake area has been destroyed to the extent that it is hard to know where it starts and where it ends. From garbage, weeds, debris, and Byrasandra Lake pollution, to solid waste, all these have led to the lake's disappearance as it has shrunk to a small portion compared to its original size.

No doubt, the lake was once full of silt, garbage, dirty water and weeds, but recently rejuvenation responsibility has been taken. Overall, the narrow pathways and the dirty and polluted water have now been restored with clean water and clear pathways.

Which Areas Requires Support for the Lake's Maintenance?

The areas and matters that require support for the Byrasandra Lake maintenance are as follows:

After rejuvenation, the lake will be opened to the public on all days adhering to the timings as set by the concerned authorities.

Now the lake is brimming with clean water free of pollution as all entry points of dirty water have been plugged. Besides, several measures for diverting sewage have been taken.
