  • Ulsoor Lake

If you are a nature lover then the natural beauty of Ulsoor Lake will surely attract you, which is located at the Eastern Bangalore. The name Ulsoor came from Halasuru Lake which was the initial name of this spot. This is one of the cleanest lakes found in Bangalore.

This magnificent waterbody is also one of the largest in the city and oldest as well which has a link with the Kempegowdas. The total area of this lake is 123.6 acres. Currently, the lake is being monitored by the Madras Engineer Group and the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) together. People go there for jogging, walking and bird watching. The lake is open from 6 am to 7 pm.

  • Sankey Tank Lake

This man-made lake is also one of the cleanest lakes located in the Western area of Bangalore. This lake is quite old, made in 1882 and it is a nest for many migratory birds, ducks, seans and fishes. The lake is constantly coping with the freshwater supply around the locality.

Agara Lake has its connection from the 8th Century. The lake is situated near the HSR layout spread across 98 acres of land. Some exclusive migratory birds like spot-billed pelicans are found here. The lake water got severely polluted and hence this lake went through some reform programs and now it is one of the cleanest lakes in the city.

This lake has a trail for walking, jogging and cycling. The timings of this lake are - from 5.30 am to 11 am in the morning and from 4 pm to 6.30 pm in the evening.

  • Lal Bagh Lake

Another clean lake in Bangalore is Lal Bagh Lake. The lake is located inside the Lal Bagh Botanical Garden. The 40-acre lake has a lot of rarely-seen aquatic species. Also, as the lake's water is clean, it boosts the nearby 2000+ species of plants in the adjacent garden. You can enter this lake during your time at Lal Bagh Botanical Garden, from 9 am to 6 pm.

  • Hesaraghatta Lake

Hesaraghatta Lake is also known as a mini bird sanctuary. The lake is huge, spread across 1000 acres of land. The lake was man-made and constructed in the year 1894. The purpose of the lake construction was to store fresh water from the Akravathi River and to supply drinking water to the entire city. Still, now, the lake is one of the cleanest lakes in the city. The visiting time of this lake is from 6 am to 6 pm.
